I used to be afraid

I'd forget your face

As though somehow memories

Could be erased

After years of reflection

I'm able to see

That you left your impression

Upon me permanently

 

You're in my mirror

My window

You're in the way the wind blows

And I see you in my dreams

You appear in starlight

You're my guide

Navigating from inside

It's like you're love's reflection is me

 

Now I say the things

You used to say

I hear you in my voice

And before each decision I make

After all this time

I still miss you here

But these reflections of mine

Will keep you near
