If hope is strength

Then I'm weak now

If I'm up

Then I must have been down

Is it just time getting the best of me

While we're all paid by the hour somehow

I've seen the smoke rise

And I've heard the wind blow

Tasted the wine

And I've smelled the roses

It's just my lifetime creating my past

It can't wait

Life passes so fast

Like the plot in a screenplay

The story unfolds

One day at a time

Until somehow you're old

And the years solve life's mysteries

When it's over you'll know

Life can't wait

It passes so fast

Ain't that some shit

I'm at the precipice now

Might've tried my luck

But I'm not quite sure how

Feel caught inside an M.C. Escher drawing

Where the ground is sky and the sky is ground

I've taken my time

And learned from the road

Survived the grind

And I've watched true love grow

As if the self can be

Summed up by small facts

Life can't wait

It passes too fast
